Upcoming Building Works

Due to our ongoing commitment to service excellence, coupled with an increase in demand for appointments, we are undertaking a building programme to expand the size of the practice.

The planned improvements to the practice are as follows:

  • extra surgery space
  • new reception and waiting room
  • private non clinical consultation room
  • state of the art sterilisation room

Works will commence from 27th March with a projected completion by the end of June.

We can confirm that there will be no interruption in service to our patients apart from parking which will be suspended during the works.

We trust you will share our view that we all will benefit from proposed improvements and apologise for any minor inconvenience caused.

In April 2016, Alex Mustard, a Specialist Endodontist will be joining the practice. Endodontics, as defined by the General Dental Council, is the cause, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diseases and injuries of the tooth root, dental pulp, and surrounding tissue.

Alex has been a Speciality Doctor in Endodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital, University College London since 2009 and has managed many patients with complex endodontic problems.  He has also supervised post graduate students on a variety of Masters and specialist training programmes as well as teaching and lecturing. He is a member of the British Endodontic Society.

In August, Justin Darby joined our team as a Specialist Periodontist.

Justin trained in Australia and qualified in 1999 before working around Australia as a Squadron Leader Dental Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force. In 2007, he completed a three year postgraduate Masters in Periodontics, specialising in gum disease and dental implant placement. Having spent 8 years working as a Specialist Periodontist in private practice in Australia, he has now moved with his family to the UK.  He is a registered specialist with the General Dental Council.

In September, we have Nick Coller joining us as a dental hygienist/therapist. Currently, patients have to wait a minimum of 6 weeks for an appointment with Tracey, so the addition of Nick to our team means that we can provide a better service for our own patients and those referred from outside the practice.  Nick qualified in 2103 from Kings College Hospital, winning the Tutors' Award, and is highly regarded among his peers, particularly in the management of phobic and nervous patients.

Guy Stephens has just been recognised by the GDC as a Specialist Prosthodontist after 4 years post graduate study. He now joins an elite group who are recognised by their governing body for their outstanding level of expertise.
